Where is the “Importance of Money in Life?” Six friends who graduated from college two years ago all went to meet their favorite professor at his house.
They all have good jobs. At one point in the story, they started telling the professor that their lives had become very complicated and difficult after graduating from college.

They all began to lament that they had to work 8 to 10 hours a day, maintain the ongoing politics within the office, sometimes listen to the boss’s scolding, and the company only understands money.
Hearing all these complaints, the professor offered them tea and said, “Wait, I’ll go make some tea.” After a while, the professor brought six cups for the six friends.
Among these, three cups were plain or plastic, and the other three were expensive and attractive. Now the professor asked them to come and take tea. Immediately, a mild quarrel started among the friends.
Everyone wanted to drink tea from the expensive cups. In this way, they started behaving like children. A silent competition started among them. After arguing, the six friends divided the six cups among themselves.
Then the professor smiled gently and said, “Actually, this is the main point. You will all drink tea. The tea cup is not the main issue here. “Similarly, being happy is the real purpose of our lives.
It is true that you have to earn money to be happy. But in most cases, we change the definition of being happy and just run after money like fools. We forget that the real purpose of earning money is to be happy.
A big reason for this is that, in today’s society, a person is judged on how much money they have, what kind of job they do, and so on. In other words, people now judge by the teacup instead of the tea.
It is true that even if the teacup is of very ordinary quality, if the tea is very delicious, one can find great satisfaction in drinking it.
But if salt is mixed in the tea, one will not find peace even by drinking tea in a thousand-dollar teacup. It will seem attractive only from the outside. But no peace will be found within.

But the idea that money has no value in life is also not correct. Money certainly has value. But how much is the value or importance of money in life? We basically make a mistake in understanding this.
Time, happiness, knowledge, and dignity are resources for us, and so is money. So, in life, we spend on one kind of resource and acquire another kind of resource. For example, we earn money by using knowledge.
We buy books with money to gain knowledge. We spend time with loved ones to gain happiness. We basically keep interchanging our resources. For example, when we buy a mobile phone with money, we buy not only the mobile phone but also social status, experience, etc.
But we get into trouble when we cannot distinguish between need and luxury. It is said that the more you own, the more those things begin to own you. We buy many things for our needs, such as televisions, refrigerators, cars, motorcycles, and mobile phones.
That is, we keep revolving within a circular cycle. We earn money because of a lot of pain and suffering in life. Then we use this money to relieve the pressure. The only purpose of life for those who get stuck in this kind of life cycle is to earn a lot of money.
Money turns them into slaves. From then on, they don’t spend money, but money spends them. This continues until they come out of this rat race, or they die. Their thoughts begin and end with money.
It is impossible to become rich this way. You will be rich when you earn money with happiness and spend it with happiness. So, only by understanding the true value of money can you get out of the rat race.

Many things are needed to be happy in life. Such as: time, knowledge, health, relationships, etc. Money is one of these elements. The value of money in our life is exactly as much as the value of petrol in a car.
It is neither less nor more than that. Just as a car doesn’t run without petrol, we don’t drive a car to get petrol. We use petrol to take the car from one place to another.
